Facilitations for people with disabilities in legalizing their stay

There are no special, separate regulations for disabled refugees from Ukraine regarding their legalization of stay in Poland. The law on assistance to citizens of Ukraine in connection with an armed conflict in the territory of that state (the so-called special act) indicates certain facilities for people with disabilities, e.g. when obtaining a PESEL number (if the person is not able to submit an application or fingerprints at the seat of the office, it is possible to do it in the place of stay of that person) – Article 4 section 2 and section 8 of Special Act. Moreover, social assistance, which is granted only to persons with disabilities, concerns, for example, specialized transport, in particular to or between the place of accommodation or meals (Article 12 (1) (4)).
