I entered Poland from UA on January 22 on a work visa, which was valid until April 22. How can I extend my stay in Poland?

Update: 02.02.2023

If the visa is a national visa, the legality of stay on its basis has been extended on the basis of the provisions related to the COVID-19 epidemic. Pursuant to the amendment to the Special Act, as of August 24, 2023, the provision governing the basis for extended stays based on the Covid Act will be repealed. This means the need to regulate your residence status – the need to submit an application for temporary residence – by then.

In addition, due to the ongoing armed conflict in Ukraine, the stay of a Ukrainian citizen on the basis of a national visa, which began before February 24, 2022, and the allowed period of stay on the basis of this visa expired after February 24, 2022, is extended until August 24, 2023.

As already noted, in order to further legalize your stay, you should submit an application for a temporary residence permit no later than on the last day of your legal stay in the Republic of Poland, i.e. by August 24, 2023.
