I entered Poland from UA on January 22 on a work visa, which was valid until April 22. How can I extend my stay in Poland?

If the visa is a national visa, the legality of stay on its basis has been extended on the basis of the regulations related to the COVID-19 epidemic. This extension lasts up to 30 days after the date of the cancellation of the epidemic threat (which is still ongoing).

Moreover, due to the ongoing armed conflict in Ukraine, the stay of a Ukrainian citizen on the basis of a national visa, which began before 02/24/22, and the admissible stay on the basis of this visa after 02/24/22, is extended until December 31, 2022.

This means that if the state of the epidemic and / or the epidemic threat is canceled before December 31, 2022, it will still be possible to stay in Poland legally on the basis of the latter extension from the Act on Assistance to Ukrainian Citizens.

For further legalization of stay, an application for a temporary residence permit should be submitted no later than on the last day of legal stay in the Republic of Poland.
