Under what rules are Ukrainian children accepted in Polish schools during the school term?

A decision as to whether or not a child should be accepted by a public nursery or school during a school term shall be taken by the headmaster of that nursery school or school or, in the case of other public educational measures operated by a legal entity other than a local government unit or a natural person, also by the person in charge of that other educational measure, except as regards the acceptance of children and young people living in the region of a certain public elementary school where they are automatically accepted.” Consequently, if a child lives in the region covered by a public elementary school, that school is obliged to accept them and such acceptance may be dependent on the approval of the school’s management body if it would require additional organisational changes resulting in additional financial consequences.
