What to do when Ukrainian identity documents expire or when I do not have such a document at all?

In order to confirm the identity and citizenship of Ukraine to Ukrainian citizens who came to the Republic of Poland because of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine, Ukrainian consular posts in the Republic of Poland will carry out the following activities:

  • extension of the validity period of passports to citizens of Ukraine for a period of 5 years by entering the relevant entry on page 5 of the passport
  • entering in the passports of Ukrainian citizens the personal data of a child under 18, along with a photo
  • issuing a photo certificate confirming the identity and citizenship of Ukraine for Ukrainian citizens who do not have foreign passports or any identity documents. The indicated certificate is intended for the identification of Ukrainian citizens in Polish offices and does not entitle to crossing the Polish border.

UPDATE (1st August 2022)

Due to the limited resources of Ukrainian consular offices in Poland, the State Migration Service of Ukraine has launched mobile passport points. The first of them were erected in Warsaw at the Blue City shopping center (al. Jerozolimskie 179).

The fact that registration to the point is made online is a great help. More information about mobile passport points, registration form, list of necessary documents and payment methods can be found at: https://bit.ly/3zWEyo1

After registering, we will receive information about the time and point of arrival, along with the necessary documents.
